My full name is XSBaggage Covernant Solveig.  I was born in Sooke, British Columbia, Canada in April 2003.  My dog mom is Trackline’s Gen Kim Lorrie and my dog dad is Caval Razzle-Dazzle N XS.  I’m registered in Canada as well as the USA.  I’ll tell you a little secret—not only do I have a microchip, I also have a tattoo!

I’ve been training in obedience, conformation, herding and agility.  I’m not much for obedience.  My human mom has made me take two different classes so far because I don’t pay attention.  I’m the princess, after all.  It’s my job to socialize and make sure everyone gets greeted properly.  I’m sure I’m headed for my third class soon and can’t wait to meet the new faces!

I like conformation training.  It’s really fun when everyone is watching me as I go around the ring and do down and back.  It makes me feel very special.  And the treats are always really good when we do that.  I have really liked the shows I’ve been able to be in so far too.  The different judges from Sweden at both Specialties (Canada and USA) in 2004 each wrote I was “excellent” in their critiques.  I knew that.  I’m now able to attend the AKC shows in Miscellaneous.  We’re going to have some fun now!

Herding is OK but sometimes I really don’t feel like working.  I give my mom a hard time. And Look Out!—when the fences are the big square wire ones, I can fit through and run from pasture to pasture!  It’s really fun. But for some reason, I never get any treats when I’m herding.  Something about just being able to work is my reward--Go figure!

I like agility.  I really love to run fast around the arena, do a few jumps and tunnels, go thru the hoop and I especially love that A frame thing.  I like to turn really quick at the bottom and go right back and up over the top.  You should see my mom’s face when I do that!  I do get out of control sometimes—it’s just too much fun to contain myself.

My hobbies include my “need for speed”.  I have to tease and chase Vegas around the back yard at high speed (and occasionally inside the house) just to remind him how fast I can move!

Did I mention how I always like to sit up straight?  I think it’s the prim and proper way for a princess to sit.  No sideways slouch for me like most of the other Vallhunds.

My mom named our Kennel after me—Solveig and all her company (friends).  She shortened it to Solveigco Kennel.  I’m proud of that!

I’ve had annual CERF tests on my eyes and they are normal.  I’ve also had my hips done (PennHIP) and my hips are tighter that 70% of the Vallhunds tested at the time.

My pedigree is HERE if you want to check it out.

See me around!
