Like Solveig, I've been training in obedience, conformation and herding. I haven't started agility yet-that's coming up soon. It looked like fun when I was watching Solveig.

I like the dog show circuit.  Get to check out a lot of different looking girls at those rare breed shows.  Some of them are quite large compared to me but I love to look.  And I can tell they are looking back!  I like the AKC shows too.  They are bigger shows—more girls to check out!!  And get this--my first AKC show here in Oregon was in Eugene and I got Best of Breed and Best of Misc., so I can’t wait for the next ones! 

Herding is OK but so far I really only like to go the one way—Go Bye.  My mom is working with me to learn Away to Me.  And also sometimes I like a crowd.  The more sheep the better—that keeps me interested.   We are working on this.

I also have a pretty good nose.  I’m thinking about investigating the opportunities around here for Search and Rescue.  I think I would be good at that and I hear other Vallhunds are doing it in Europe.

I really like to hang with my mom.  When she’s sitting on the couch, I have to be next to her.  She thinks I send special positive energy to her and I like the way she rubs my tummy.  I could just lie there all day!  It’s also fun to follow her around when she’s working in the yard or cleaning our house.  I just like to watch what she’s doing.

I’ve had a CERF test on my eyes and they are normal.  I’ve also had my hips tested (PennHIP) and my hips are tighter than 80% of the Vallhunds tested at the time.  I’m in really good shape.  I have to chase Solveig the Princess around just to make sure she knows who’s the boss in this house!  She’s so darned cute.  Sometimes I let her win.
